While the neighborhood association stands &#8220;vehemently opposed&#8221; according to Messner, Ridenour emphasized the letter of support by Ball State University.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: large; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; text-align: var(--text-align);\">Afterwards in a surprising move, Republican Dale Basham asked to have Res. 16-25 delayed for the next meeting in October. The resolution would add an additional $11.5 million to replace Fire Station 5, on top of another $8 million added early last year for Fire Station 6.
