Between 9 o’clock am and 4 o’clock pm today, locals will be calling the Mayor’s office here in Muncie to request that Dan Ridenour rescind his appointment of Ryan Webb to the Muncie Land Bank Board. Webb is a former county councilman who received his own 9 and 1/2 seconds of fame for mocking Muncie’s trans community, by being invited on Fox News, Piers Morgan, Sky News, and at-least a couple of Daily Wire segments when he joked about identifying as a black transgender woman. He later changed his Facebook post from “black” to “woman of color.”

As well as Webb’s appointment, Dan Ridenour appointed himself to the board through a technicality and decided not to reappoint John West, Assistant Professor in Urban Planning at Ball State. West himself was disappointed with the decision, and many more called out the unwillingness for Ridenour’s administration to work with expertise.
